Murray's working career has been with charitable organisations holding various eclertic senior roles, both national and local, managing Youth Zone in Carlisle. Occasionally he still uses his experience to act as a troubleshooter for the Third Sector who find themselves at a crossroads and need strategic direction. It keeps the brain active.
On (semi) retirement, and the fledging of the last of their 3 children, he and Jackie fulfilled a lifelong ambition, fell in love with Dalbeattie, and made the short hop across the border - where there is a 5 year project renovating a cherished but tired house. Otherwise, you might find them on their old narrowboat in sunny Wigan.
